Short Trip, Long Post nevertheless, after the long break, i've decided to share everything i have done the past 2 weeks.. including my very short n i dunno wad word to use trip to KUCHING!!! (I went to visit the Kenny Sia..... Kolo mee... wahahhaa...)anyway, pictures speaks a thousand words.... all i can say is.... I've had fun after 1 whole year of looking at singapore... the view outside our hotel room is superb! we can see the entire Sarawak river, n the Astana which is also the Cat Museum.... really beautiful... especially early in the mrn... 
the night we arrive, we went walking ard Kuching, n saw the "landmark". The so called door of kuching city, and the Cat statue.... 3 main ones ard the area where im staying... 
kuching is so catty, that its drain cover has cat on it too!!! 
and its super old type of bus stop.... we took buses couple of times... but din take pic of it... 1st, it stinks like hell, and its rather squeezy, and we were tired too... so no bus pics.. but its the same type as buses in singapore in the 1960s and 70s.... 
of cos in addition, my crazy cousin.... covering her gab between her teeth...  to welcome christmas... the hotel did a gingerbread house at the lobby.... its beautiful.... so i cannot resist taking some pics of it... 
 3rd day there, we went to the village visit.... Longhouse, Hotspring, Cave Visit... the Dawins (natives) live in houses called long house, built with bamboo... the whole village is built with bamboo... the walkway as well... below is the morden type of housing there... the most beautiful among all.... the rest, im not gonna write more... but they are a very self sufficient community... animals are reared, and they just eat from it.... 
 
 
 
 that above, is where the joint some bamboo, and allowed the spring water to flow down... where we all freshen up, and washed ur hands and legs... the water is so cooling, so cooling, SO cooling.... thereafter, we went to the Hot Spring... but it being too too too hot for our liking, we moved over the the lil steam.. n played ard, to cool down... :) its not free, n we gotta make the 3RM worth!
we din noe where to get, so went to the nearest one, sat down n ordered the kolomee..... its so yummy that just thinking of it now im salivating already...
total damage made.... summing in the air tix n hotel plus spending n eating and transport n wadever....... s$470. its a good trip! :) |
